ABOUT WENDI
Wendi
Spiers was born in Picayune, Mississippi in 1970. She attended art
school in San Francisco State University and graduated Magma Cum Laude
with a BA in Ceramics in 1997.
She has won numerous awards
including Best of Show at InSite Gallery's "Vessel As Art" exhibition
and second place in Modesto Gallery's "Teapot Party" show.In 2000, her
"Framed" series appeared in Ceramics Monthly magazine. Her
environmental installation for preschoolers now occupies "the Old Fire
House" is still in place in Lafayette.

ABOUT CARLOS
Born
and raised in Mexico City, Carlos Oropeza-Legorreta graduated with
honors from the Metropolitan Autonomous University with a degree in
Graphic Design. While in Mexico, he worked as freelance designer and
professional photographer, earning awards for his talent. He also
worked as Assistant Art Director for Leo Burnett where he was involved
in large advertising campaigns and corporate accounts for fortune 500
companies.
In 1993 he moved to the US where he became more
involved in production and project management. Starting with “THE NINE”
in Auburn, MA. Later, at Landor Associates in San Francisco and New
York, he managed and implemented various corporate identity, packaging
and marketing programs including the US and Latin America. He was a
Senior Producer and Project Manager for marchFIRST, formerly USWeb/CKS
and later became an idependent consultant.
For the last
number of years, Carlos has been doing Construction Project Management
and logistics for store openings related to hi-end restaurants, retail
pharmacies and residential remodel projects. He comes from a family of
Architects and has been familiar with plan drawings and construction
sites his whole life.
